Meet Claudia Ordaz Perez

Claudia Ordaz Perez is a life-long El Pasoan who serves as Mayor Pro Tempore and City Councilwoman for District 6 representing El Paso’s East Side and Mission Valley. Claudia grew up in El Paso’s eastside and is a proud homeowner in the Mission Valley. She comes from humble beginnings and has always worked hard to help provide for her family. She is first generation American and was the first in her family to graduate from college. Growing up, her father fixed tv’s for a living and her mother worked as a school secretary at O’Shea Keleher Elementary. As a high school student, she worked at a local restaurant to help her parents and to save for college. As a college student, she continued to work to pay for her education. Claudia received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at El Paso.
